Solar Plan is looking for Solar Field Technicians, practical, reliable professionals who take pride in quality workmanship and want to help build Aruba’s clean energy future by installing the best PV systems on the island.
Job description
As a Solar Field Technician, you are, together with your colleague responsible for the on-site installation and commissioning of PV systems for residential and small commercial customers.
You work closely with the Country Manager Aruba and the local Energy & Care team to ensure that installations are carried out safely, efficiently and to Solar Plan’s high quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
• Install solar PV systems, inverters and related electrical components.
• Support the installation and commissioning of battery energy storage systems (BESS). Training will be provided.
• Prepare worksites and ensure safe, clean and professional execution with respect for the customer’s properties.
• Follow installation plans, technical guidelines and safety procedures.
• Identify and report technical issues or improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with the Country Manager on scheduling and site-specific requirements.
• Represent Solar Plan professionally at customer locations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of installation quality and efficiency.
What you bring
Practical, technical background in electrical, solar or related field.
Experience with solar installations is a strong plus.
Comfortable working outdoors on rooftops.
Safety-conscious, reliable and detail-oriented.
Hands-on mindset and pride in quality workmanship.
Able to work effectively in a small team.
Valid driver’s license.
Comfortable communicating in Papiamento or English (Spanish is a plus).
